Okaikrom SDA Celebrates Its 95th Anniversary

The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Okaikrom, in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti region, recently celebrated its 95th anniversary.

Among the notable attendees at the celebration were Honorable Osei Adiyiah, the District Chief Executive of Sekyere East; Nana Baamoah Nsia II, Okaikromhemaa; Pastor Akwasi Boateng, President of ACGC; Elder Kwadwo Amofa Fofie, CEO of Universal Group of Companies; and Elder Francis Osei, CEO of Step To Christ, among others.

During the event, Pastor Akwasi Boateng, the President of Asante Central Ghana Conference (ACGC), urged all Christians to lead faithful and holy lives. He emphasized the importance of remaining steadfast during the end times and relying on God in all circumstances.

The Associate District Pastor of the Senkye District of SDA, Daniel Ofosu Afram, acknowledged the challenges that the Okaikrom church has faced throughout its 95-year history. Despite the difficulties, he expressed gratitude for God’s faithfulness.

He futher appealed to all Adventists to pray for and visit the Okaikrom church, as they are in need of assistance. He also highlighted the issue of job vacancies, which has led many youth from the community to seek employment in the city due to a lack of opportunities in their hometown.

Pastor Daniel Ofosu called upon Ghanaians and church authorities to support them in addressing these challenges.

The District Chief Executive Officer for Sekyere East District, Honorable Osei Adiyiah, expressed appreciation for the contributions of SDA churches in promoting development.

He also thanked the government for their support in the district’s development projects.

Honorable Osei Adiyiah mentioned some of the projects that the NPP government has undertaken in the district, including road construction, school infrastructure, water supply, lighting systems, and other social amenities.

He assured the people in his district, who still lack certain social amenities, to remain patient and trust in him, their Member of Parliament, and the NPP government to address their needs.
