NPP MPs Visit Flagbearer Bawumia

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament have paid a visit to the party’s 2028 Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Led by the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, they congratulated the former Vice President at his residence.
The Bawumia Campaign Team reported this in a social media post on Tuesday.
“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia & Hajia Samira Bawumia received the minority caucus at their residence. They congratulated him and assured him of their support.”
The NPP went to the polls over the weekend to elect the former vice president as the presidential candidate for 2028.
Dr Bawumia polled 110,643, representing 56.48 per cent of the total valid votes cast in the Presidential Primary held on January 31, 2026, flooring his opponents, including former Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, former Minister for Food and Agriculture Dr Bryan Acheampong, and former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyapong.
Meanwhile, the NPP has called for unity and healing as it looks ahead to a possible return to power in 2028.
