NPP Completes Preparations Ahead of Presidential Primaries

Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Election Committee, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu, says all preparations for the party’s presidential primaries have been fully completed in line with agreed plans.
Speaking in an interview with Kofi Boakye on Nkawantannanso on Opemsuo Radio, Hon. Osei Owusu stated that the party has successfully implemented every aspect of the election roadmap drawn up ahead of the polls.
“Everything about the presidential primaries we planned has been implemented exactly as agreed,” he said.
He explained that the process began with the issuance of election regulations to all presidential aspirants and the submission of the voters’ register to the Electoral Commission (EC). According to him, ballot papers have been printed and distributed nationwide.
“Ballot papers have been printed, and as of now, ballots for all constituencies have been successfully distributed,” he noted.
Hon. Osei Owusu added that the Ghana Police Service has taken custody of all election materials to ensure their safety until voting day.
“The Ghana Police Service has also taken custody of our election materials and will keep them safe until election day,” he said.
He further disclosed that the committee has completed its mandate and officially handed over the electoral process to the EC, which is supervising the conduct of the election.
“We have completed our responsibilities and handed everything over to the EC, who have guided us on how the election should be conducted,” he explained.
According to him, the EC has confirmed that election materials have reached all constituencies, with District Electoral Officers assigned to monitor the process.
With all arrangements in place, Hon. Osei Owusu confirmed that voting will take place on Saturday, urging delegates to be come early.
“Voting will start at 7:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. We encourage all delegates to arrive on time so that no one is left out after the close of polls,” he said.
