A/R Minister Simon Osei-Mensah
Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has called for a debate between him and any other member of the main opposition party; National Democratic Congress (NDC) inasmuch as developmental projects in the region are concerned.
“I challenge any NDC person to come out to debate me on projects they claim to have done for the region while in office for eight years ago” the Minister fumed when he spoke on Manhyia-based Opemsuo FM morning show hosted by George Opoku Mensah Agudey
According to Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah, the opposition NDC did not start the construction of the stalled Sewua Regional Hospital and Afari Military Hospital as well as many other projects in the region.
“NDC cannot claim they started the Sewua and Afari Hospitals. It is a lie from them …It was during President Kufour time that funds were secured for all these projects. ….I am saying this because I was a Member of Parliament then”, Hon. Osei-Mensah told listeners of Opemsuo FM
The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has also taken swipe at his predecessor, John Mahama over the latter’s claims that he delivered unprecedented infrastructure while in office
According to President Akufo-Addo, such claims by former President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are just fantasy and only existed in the party’s Green Book.
The President said this during the commissioning of the newly constructed Tema Motorway Interchange.
