ECG Blames Rainstorm For Tuesday’s Power Outage

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has blamed yesterday’s power supply cut to some areas to a rainstorm.

According to it’s notice, the rainstorm caused some faults, ultimately resulting in the power cut.

“The Electricity Company of Ghana(ECG) wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public that the outage being experienced today, Tuesday, 7th October 2025, in some parts of the country is as a result of faults caused by heavy rainstorm.”

It assured that its Engineers were working assiduously to repair the faults and restore power supply.

Meanwhile, it encouraged customers experiencing localized outages to contact it’s call center on 0302611611, report to the nearest ECG office, lodge a complaint on the ECG PowerApp or reach us via our social media handles @EGghOfficial on Facebook, X, or instagram for prompt intervention.

“ECG regrets the inconvenience caused to the affected customers.”
