Manhyia Palace Distances Itself From Lumba’s Funeral Arrangements

The Manhyia Palace has distanced itself from commentaries and statements attributed to it regarding the funeral arrangements of legendary highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
Condemning the developments, the Palace urged the public to disregard them and treat them with the needed contempt.
It comes after it was widely reported in the media that a section of the feuding family had been directed to meet the Asantehene on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
This, the Palace noted, was untrue.
In addition, it clarified that it had no hand in the funeral arrangements, adding that the previous involvement of Nananom was to address the invocation of the Great Oath of Otumfuo and help unite the family.
Nananom of the Gyaase Division have since withdrawn their involvement in the funeral ceremony of Daddy Lumba and any mediation process.
The Palace also emphasised that it does not back any of the feuding parties.
