Manhyia: Asanteman Business Congress Underway
A stakeholders’ consultative forum, dubbed the ‘Asanteman Business Congress’, is currently taking place at the National House of Chiefs’ Conference Hall in Manhyia, Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
The congress, organized by the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation in collaboration with U.S.-based Jamerson Strategic Consulting, seeks to provide a platform for business owners, artisans, and other stakeholders to share ideas.
Mr. Kwabena Owusu Ababio, the Capacity Building and Stakeholders Engagement Manager of the Foundation, in his opening speech, disclosed that the event is a result of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s participation in the 2022 Memphis in May International Festival.
“The purpose of the event is to offer business stakeholders a more effective platform for Kumasi-based business owners and stakeholders to brainstorm with their counterparts in the United States for business expansion and to explore other opportunities,” he added.
He also mentioned that the workshop aims to help build stronger networks and partnerships among themselves to improve services and ensure business sustainability.
The event is chaired by the Feyiasehene, Nana Addae Gyamera, and is supported by the leadership of Jamerson Strategic Consulting. It is attended by numerous business owners, including agrochemical manufacturers, artisans, farmers, kente weavers, and others from the Ashanti Region.
