Man Fined ₵3k for Assaulting Journalists

A man identified as Daniel Baidoo has been fined ₵3,600 by the Asankragwa District Court for assaulting journalists.
The convict is reported to have attacked a group of journalists at Adumanya near Asankran Breman in the Western Region.
He was arrested on February 21, 2025, by the Western Central Regional Police Command for the attack.
A Panasonic Lumix camera and an iPhone belonging to the victims were retrieved after he was nabbed.
A statement issued by the police on April 2 confirmed he had been sentenced to a fine of 300 penalty units, which translates to Three Thousand Six Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH₵3,600.00).
In default of the fine, he will serve one-year imprisonment in hard labour.
