Malik Jabir Backs Maxwell Konadu For Razak Abalora’s Acquisition
Club legend, Malik Jabir, has backed Asante Kotoko gaffer Maxwell Konadu for the acquisition of Razak Abalora in the Porcupines set up.
Many Kotoko supporters have described the signing of Razak Abalora as ‘unneeded’ following already established safest pair of hands but the former coach of the club has differing view.
Malik Jabir believes that in spite of Kotoko having already stupendous goalkeepers like Felix Annan and Kwame Baah, Razak Abalora’s addition will give the Technical team a lot of options to choose from to provide solidity at the Goalkeeping department.
Speaking on Opemsuo 104.7 FM evening sports show, Pramaso, he proverbially articulated that, “who will find four pieces of pure gold and throw one away just because they are many. The decision to sign four national goalkeepers is a laudable one.”
“What require from the Technical Team now is to be matured enough to find a tactful or appropriate way of dealing with these four great goalkeepers so that there will be no enmity amongst them.”
On whether Danlad should be loaned, he reckoned that he should be kept to also compete.
“I won’t agree with anybody who says Danlad should be loaned because there are four good goalkeepers. He should be maintained. However, it is incumbent upon the goalkeeper’s trainer to provide various training sessions that will maintain his form. “
