Love Gives Foundation Donates To Widows At Kenyasi Abirem

Love Gives Foundation, a non-governmental organisation has put smiles on the faces of widows at Kenyasi Abirem in the Ashanti Region of Ghana by donating food items to these widows and the aged to celebrate the festive season.

Nana Akwasi Gyamfi, the Operations Director of Love Gives Foundation and the team donated food items which include rice, oil, tomato paste, and sachet water among others with what they believe will make the Christmas celebration a great one.

Otumfuo Yokohene, Nana Agyekum Kusi Ababio who led the foundation to donate the items wished the people a merry Christmas and also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the foundation for putting smiles on the face of the widows and also for embarking on numerous projects in the town.

“This is not the first time the foundation has done this, they do this every year. They have renovated our school here. They helped the people to register for Health Insurance Scheme. They have done a lot and want to do more for the people here. All that we can do is to pray and support them always”, he said.

Over 80 widows, some of who were blind benefited from the donation.

The widows who received these items couldn’t hide the joy, they prayed, thanked and expressed appreciation to the foundation for making them smile this yuletide season.

“God bless you so that you can do this every year. As widows we have nothing, only you can help us so we thank you for this gesture”, one widow said.

“I am Akua Agyeiwaa, God bless Love Gives Foundation for this move. We live in this town, we’ve witnessed people donate here but Love Gives Foundation has done more than what we’ve seen so far”, another widow said.

“God bless them, give them strength, may God be with them so that every year they will come and support us this way”, stated another widow.

The charity has been helping the Abirem Community for the past two years by donating items every Christmas to the poor and widows, renovating old school blocks as well as enrolling and renewing health insurance for the disadvantaged. According to the Founder and President of Loves Gives Foundation, Lady Barbara Acheampong, she does this because no one should be denied access to essential medical treatment because of a lack of funds.

Love Gives Foundation is committed to enhancing the education, health, and sanitation of the needy in rural communities.
