Let’s Win Games to Make Pooley’s Soul Happy- Ogum

The head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum has challenged his players into putting into training the needed efforts to get the needed wins during match days.

This is to honour the memory of their late supporter, Francis Yaw Frimpong, known as Pooley, and make his soul happy, he conveyed.

The team has a renewed purpose now, that is, to honour the ardent fan who was killed during its last match on February 2.

At its first training session since the tragic incident struck on February 19, Ogum challenged his playing body to commit to the new objective.

“Now we need to honour him (Francis Yaw Frimpong), we need to dedicate whatever we do to honour him. I’m sure we are ready to honour him.”

“It will be difficult to forget what happened. It will be difficult. But then the only way to honour him is to make sure we train well to win games to make his soul happy. Let’s all come together and make sure that we work very hard to get the results. That’s the most important thing.”

Pooley was stabbed to death at Nsoatre after Kotoko’s 1-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC. The incident forced the suspension of the league for the needed review of security protocols at match venues.
