Kudus, Partey, Nuamah Nominated For CAF Awards
Three Ghanaian players have made it onto the list of nominees for the men’s categories for the 2023 Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Awards.
They include West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus, Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey and Olympique Lyonnais winger Ernest Nuamah.
Kudus and Partey have been nominated in the Player of the Year Category with 28 other African players while Nuamah has been nominated for the Young Player category.
Players, a goalkeeper, a Coach and a Club will be recognized in seven different categories including the CAF African Player of the Year, CAF Interclub Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, CAF National Team of the Year, Club of the Year and CAF Young Player of the Year.
CAF has this year also introduced a category for shot-stoppers.
“The ultimate winner of each category will be decided after votes from a voting panel consisting of CAF Technical Committee, media professionals, Head Coaches & Captains of Member Associations and clubs involved in the group stages of the Interclub competitions,” CAF noted.
