Kudus no Longer Available for Transfer

Ghana International Mohammed Kudus is no longer available for transfer within this transfer window after his release clause expired last Sunday.

This means that all clubs interested in poaching the 23-year-old from the East London club will have to wait for the next transfer window.

There were reports that the impressive performance of Kudus had attracted the attention and interest of clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool.

However, his release clause worth £85m expired on June 30, 2024.

Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax in August 2023 in a €45m deal in a five-year contract, becoming the third Ghanaian to join West Ham after John Paintsil in August 2006 and André Ayew in August 2016.

Since joining the English Premier League (EPL) he has established himself as he holds the distinction of being the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to complete over 100 dribbles in the 2023/24 season as well as contributing to goals at very crucial moments.

He was involved in 24 goals of the Hammers in the just-ended season, scoring 17 times and assisting seven times in 48 appearances.

He had eight goals and six assists in the Premier League, one goal and one assist in Eredivisie and one and seven goals respectively in League Cup and UEFA Europa League.
