Kotoko Go for Legon Cities’ Samuel Tenadu
Multiple Man of the Match Award winner in the 2023/2024 season, Samuel Tenadu has transferred to Asante Kotoko Sporting Club in Kumasi.
The defensive midfielder is on a three-year deal from Legon Cities to fortify their midfield.
“The 21-year-old successfully completed his medical in Kumasi earlier this week and will be joining the squad ahead of the upcoming season,” Kotoko said in a statement.
The Head Coach of Kotoko, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum has no doubt Tenadu is an asset to the Porcupines.
“Samuel is a fantastic young talent with immense potential. His defensive abilities and vision on the field will be a great asset to our squad. We believe he will play a crucial role for us this season,” he told the club’s media.
Coming to Kotoko is like coming back home, according to Tenadu who started his career in the country’s second capital, Kumasi.
“I am thrilled to sign with the biggest club in Ghana. Having spent a lot of time in Kumasi during my early football years, this feels like coming home. I am eager to get going,” Tenadu said.
Tenadu spent his early years in football with Ebony FC in Kumasi.
Last season, he made 30 appearances for Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League, winning multiple Man of the Match awards.
