Kotoko Captain Begins Rehab After Knee Injury
Asante Kotoko Captain and goalkeeper Fredrick Asare has set out on rehabilitation as part of his recovery process from a “lingering” knee injury.
He is expected to complete the rehabilitation in a week, however, there is no definite date for his return to action despite making a “positive step in his recovery”, the head coach told the club media.
“Captain Fredrick Asare will commence his rehabilitation programme with the club’s medical team this week,” the club said in a statement.
Coach Prosper Ogum says the news is ‘refreshing’ and is ready to offer the 26-year-old.
“I was informed by the medical team of Asare’s recovery process, and though there’s no definite date for his return, it’s definitely refreshing for the team because he is the leader, and it is always good to have him back.”
He assured, “All of us here will offer him all the time and support he needs to recover fully.”
The shot-stopper has been out of action as a result of a lingering knee injury for several weeks.
