DSTV Pricing: Committee to Submit Outcome Next Week

The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam George, has given the DSTV pricing evaluation committee a week to conclude and submit its report.

According to a statement by the National Communications Authority (NCA), significant progress has been made since the engagement commenced on September 8.

The Committee, however, requested an extension of one week to complete its work, which extension has been granted by the Minister for Communication.

As a result, the outcome of the Committee’s work is expected to be presented by 29% September 2025.

The committee was established to evaluate DStv pricing in Ghana to achieve a shared understanding of DStv pricing for Ghana and to structure, mutually acceptable and commercially viable measures to address the Minister’s concerns around the pricing of the DStv service.

In addition, it was tasked with establishing an acceptable roadmap to curb cross-border piracy of DStv decoders/service from Nigeria to Ghana.
