Jordan Ayew Marks his 100th Cap
Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew reached his 100th international cap during Ghana’s clash against Mozambique in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire in February.
The Ghana international has since made four appearances for Ghana against Nigeria, Uganda, Mali and Central African Republic and moves 6th in the all-time top scorers’ chart.
He debuted for Ghana on September 5, 2010, against Swaziland, and scored his first and second international goals in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.
On Monday after the Black Stars’ glorious sail against CAR in the World Cup qualifiers, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) honoured the player with a golden boot.
He dignified this remarkable feat with a hatrick in both halves, salvaging a critical win for Ghana in the Matchday four of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The 32-year-old got Ghana onto the scoreline when he converted a fine penalty won by the Black Stars after Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was fouled in the box inside six minutes.
Jordan further levelled for Ghana inside 60 minutes after CAR striker Louis Mafouta scored two goals to put his team ahead in the first half.
Fatawu Issahaku gave Ghana the third goal two minutes later with Jordan adding the fourth goal inside 69 minutes. Mafouta reduced the deficit inside injury time after recording his third goal of the night.
