“I never planned to fix my wedding ceremony mid-season” – Felix Annan
Before Ghana football was halted due to COVID-19 pandemic, one iconic player whose name was loud within the territory of Asante Kotoko SC following a decision that reduced him on the bench was the club’s captain Felix Annan.
The superlative and unparalleled young goalkeeper who has really distinguished himself in superlatives for the past three seasons was welcomed with a’crazy shock’ right after his colourful wedding ceremony with long-term girlfriend, Francisca Adu Yeboah when the season was in session.
Some supporters of Asante Kotoko SC have blamed the goalkeeper for his current woes because they believe that the extravagant captain of the Ghanaian giants should not have fixed his wedding whilst there is an ongoing season.
Responding to the brouhaha on Opemsuo 104.7fm, the astute goalkeeper passionately narrated the situation which coerced his decision to marry at that time.
“I never planned to fix my wedding ceremony mid-season; in fact, it is unheard-of for a professional player to do that but the Ghana football calendar was not stable and invitations had already gone out to guests home and abroad.”
“I am professional, so I was not troubled much when I lost my position after marriage ceremony but my wife and Mom were not happy about it,” Felix Annan.
