Hopeson’s Comment Misinterpreted; Not Harmful On Any Ground – Former MP Throws Support

Former Member of Parliament for the formerly Obuasi Constituency (before the partition of the constituency) Hon. Edward Ennin has thrown his support to the leading NPP member Hopeson Adorye vindicating him that the latter’s comment on the Dankwah-Busia-Dombo tradition of the NPP was misinterpreted.

According to him, the comment from the Fixing the Country Convener was not harmful but the comment was treated from an opposition point of view.

He stated that the executives’ actions against Hopeson might not affect him nor Alan Kyeremateng that much but the party as a whole.

Hon. Ennin indicated that the NPP’s tradition has always been long-term service to the party and hard work upon which Adu Boahen was chosen over Kuffuor, Kuffuor chosen over Akufo-Addo, and Akufo-Addo over Alan Kyerematen which must follow on that pattern.

He, therefore, questions the swift diversion to the current concurrence of the Dankwah-Busia-Dombo tradition, which is a way to uphold an agenda, he added.
