High cost of Poultry Feed Is Affecting Production – Mr. Tweneboah Koduah
The 2018 Best Farmer in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and Founder of Opowus Farms and Training Company at Konkole in the Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Tweneboah Koduah, has stated that increased prices of poultry feed is affecting their work.
“The increase in prices of poultry feed has compelled most Farmers to sell their bird’s” Mr. Tweneboah Koduah said this in an interview on Opemsuo radio’s Morning show Nkwantananso on Friday September 3rd 2021.
As a result of the bird flu there has been a reduction in the purchase of birds and eggs.
He further explained that Veterinary Officers in the Ashanti Region will not permit farmers to sell a birds infected with flu so no one should not panic.
“It will become difficult for me to pay my 25 workers if the prices of feed keep increasing”, he added.
He pleaded with the Government and the Ministry of food and Agriculture to help moderate the prices of feed.
