Govt cut sod for Kokoso-Asubonteng township roads
The Government has cut sod for road construction works to start at Kokoso – Asubonteng in the Bantama Constituency in Kumasi by the Roads and Highways Minister, Hon. Akwasi Amoako Atta.
This, according to the Government Official is to fulfill “Year of Roads” declaration by President Akufo-Addo after the people continue to experience detoriating road conditions under the erstwhile regime.
According to Hon. Akwasi Amoako Atta, the Akufo-Addo Government will ensure all the road networks in Kumasi and other parts of Ashanti Region are fixed before the end of the year 2020.
Addressing constituents and opinion leaders of Kokoso Electoral Area, Hon. Amoako Atta who is the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliment (MP) for Atiwa West in the Eastern Region revealed his personal commitment to ensure the Kokoso-Asubonteng road is completed within time.
The Chief Executive Officer for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr. Osei Assibey Antwi on behalf of the Ashanti Regional Minister, lauded the media in Kumasi for highlighting the road challenges.
MP for Bantema Constituency, Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye, NPP parlimentary candidate for the December 7 polls and Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Assenso Boakye, officials from Roads and Highways Ministry as well as traditional rulers in the area where present to grace such a colorful program.
