Ghana’s Next Chapter By Bawumia
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to address the country about his vision for Ghana in his bid to run for the Presidency seat.
The 2024 Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will speak on what he characterizes as “Ghana’s Next Chapter” in which he will outline what he calls bold solutions for the country through his “selfless” leadership.
The event will take place at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on February 7.
It follows his victory in the party-level election last year to lead the NPP to their ultimate aim of winning a third consecutive term in office.
This objective of the party has been doubted by many due to the economic downturn of the country which has forced Ghana into an International Monetary Fund (IMF) deal.
Dr Bawumia posted his upcoming address on his Facebook page on February 1 which has since garnered hundreds of comments both in support and against his bid.
“I truly wish you the best of luck simply because you are an honest and decent man and Ghana will prosper if you become president,” one said.
“The man, as the president of modern Ghana needs. Generational thinker, may God continue to be your guide. The next Next President of Ghana, solidly behind you,” said another.
“I don’t know why you people that call yourself our leaders can not take strong decisions to change our country!!!,” interjected another.
“Everyone in this comment section is a dreamer including the Originator himself. Power belongs to the youth and the youth are the same group suffering unemployment under the watch of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia seeking their votes for power. The Hungry man is always an angry man indeed.”
“Don’t let them deceive you seriously the youth are suffering. No work. Always giving slots to politicians. So u want to be the president so that we stay home again?”
