Ghana Cooperative Credit Union, Asanteman Australia Donate To Heal KATH

The Ghana Cooperative Credit Union and Asanteman Australia have separately donated cash towards the Heal Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) project spearheaded by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene.
While the Credit Union gave Ghc100,000, the pro-Asante group offered Ghc70,000.
Their donations were presented at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on February 1, 2036, during the first Akwasidae Festival.

Commending the groups for the gesture, they were motivated to keep up with such deeds.
About Heal KATH
The Heal KATH project is a US$10 million revenue mobilisation drive being championed by the occupant of the Golden Stool in the quest to renovate the dilapidated structure of the second-largest hospital and the only tertiary health institution in the Ashanti Region.
At the launch of the Heal KATH project in November 2023, the former Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, Prof. Otchere Addai-Mensah, disclosed that the agenda to renovate the hospital had been on its radar for a long time but had to be shelved due to a lack of funds.
