Family of Team Eternity Ghana’s Nhyira Marfo Debunks Poisoning Claims
The family of Nhyira Marfo, a member of Team Eternity Ghana (TEG) has discredited reports that she was killed through food poisoning.
In a press statement, the Family Head, Mr Eric Agyei Mante affirmed that the claims are “unsubstantiated”, “unfounded” and “false” rumours.
He noted that contrary to the claims, the cause of her sudden demise has not yet been medically ascertained.
“The cause of Nhyira’s death has not been ascertained yet and we urge everyone to refrain from spreading false and harmful information.”
He therefore appealed to Ghanaians to refrain from the speculations as they are negatively taking a toll on them.
“We are distressed by the spread of these rumours and the harm they are causing to our family and loved ones. We appeal to everyone to be responsible and respectful in their communication…We appeal to bloggers and social media users to respect our privacy and wait for official confirmation from the relevant authorities before sharing any information.”
This comes after social media commentators assigned various causes to the death of the singer which occurred on August 7, 2024.
The family also asked the public to respect their privacy at this difficult moment they are trying to come terms with her death.
