The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced its technical team is working to restore its prepaid metering system to normalcy.
This comes after customers reported challenges in the purchase of electricity credit.
According to the Company, the interruption emanated from a technical challenge affecting the prepaid metering systems.
This has affected customers in Accra, Kumasi, Volta, Takoradi, Tema, Cape Coast, Kasoa, Winneba, Swedru, Koforidua, Nkawkaw and Tafo.
“Affected customers should please note that our ICT team is assiduously working to correct the anomaly and restore the system to normalcy”, the ECG said.
It also apologised for the inconvenience.
