ECG Encourages Customers to Report Localised Outages Caused by Damaged Conductors

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has urged customers to report all incidents of localized outages caused by damages to conductors in their vicinities.
In a notice, the company said efforts are underway to strengthen and maintain a robust distribution network.
It however indicated that rainstorms and stormy winds usually cause the falling of trees, billboards, ripped roofing, etc. on its electrical conductors, resulting in outages.
“The outages that are caused by transient tripping (temporary interruptions) on our feeders are restored soon after the rainstorm. However, permanent faults on our feeders will have to be rectified and may take a while to be restored by our Engineers.”
It therefore encouraged customers to report such damages to the ECG Call Center at 0302-611611, the nearest ECG office, or reach us on our social media handles via @ECGghOfficial on Facebook, X, or Instagram for prompt intervention.
