ECG Announces 3-Day Planned Maintenance in Parts of Ashanti Region

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works in several communities across the Ashanti Region from Tuesday, August 11 to Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The exercise will result in temporary power outages in the affected areas.

According to notices issued on Sunday, August 9, 2026, ECG said the maintenance is part of efforts to improve service delivery and ensure a more reliable power supply.

On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, power will be off between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Areas to be affected include Nwamase, Apire, Hemang, Ampatia, Darko, Trede, Ampabame, Mpatasi, Pakyi No.1 and 2, Bebu, Mpasatia, parts of Ahodwo, Daban, Complex, Owabi, Bokankye, Odaso, Nyankyerenease, Dabaa, Kronom Cement, Boussie, Asuofua, Heman, Amoaman, Adankwame, Adugyama, Nketiah, Kokote, Abira, Namong, Barekese Headworks, Akyease Booster Station, Offinso, KCG, Ahenkro, Kodie, Apagya, Aduamoah, Denase, Akom, Mowire, Amoako, Boamang, Tetrem and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, there will be an outage from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in Akrafo Kokoben, Akwaboa, Sepaase, Tabere, Bekwame, Atwima Koforidua, Manhyia, Ntensere, Kyekyewere, Paa, Pakyi No.1, Semanhyia and surrounding areas.

The final day of works will be on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Communities to be affected include Kronom Cement, Boussie, Asuofua, Heman, Amoaman, Adankwame, Adugyama, Nketiah, Kokote, Abira, Namong, Barekese Headworks, Akyease Booster Station, Offinso, KCG, Ahenkro, Kodie, Apagya, Aduamoah, Denase, Akom, Mowire, Amoako, Boamang, Tetrem and surrounding areas.

ECG expressed regret for the inconvenience the exercise may cause and urged residents in the affected areas to make the necessary preparations.

The company said it remains committed to providing improved and efficient electricity service to customers across the Ashanti Region.
