DVLA Confirms Closure of Kuntunse Vehicle Testing Station after Rumoured Eviction

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has confirmed the closure of its Private Vehicle Testing Station at Kuntunse in the Greater Accra Region.

In a notice, it said the shutdown took effect on December 1, 2025, directing its clients to seek services at alternative PVTS centres in Accra.

It comes after it was reported that an expatriate landlord had evicted the Authority after it allegedly failed to pay rent and utility bills for 17 years.

It is reported that the eviction was prompted by the new Chief Executive Officer’s failure to engage the landlord to resolve the matter.
