CPP GENERAL SECRETARY NANA YAA JANTUAH CALLS ON ASANTEMAN TO REMEMBER ITS FIRST LOVE
Nana Yaa Jantuah, General Secretary for Convention People’s Party, has called on Asanteman to remember its root as a viable backbone for the first political party that led Ghana into independence as the first black African state given independence by Britain.
Ashanti’s indigenes like Krobo Adusei, Oti Bonsu, F. A. Jantuah and others sustained Convention People’s Party in the Ashanti Region for Ghana’s First President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to fight for independence.
According to the hardworking General Secretary for CPP, it is time for Asanteman to remember its first love to back CPP in this year’s election.
In an exclusive interview on Opemsuo 104.7 FM, the affable General Secretary disclosed why they visited the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace.
“We came to Manhyia Palace today to pay a courtesy call on the Asantehene to introduce our candidate, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet to him to seek for his blessings ahead of the General election.”
She added that, Asanteman has really played a crucial role in the affairs of CPP with the likes of Raddy Opoku, F. A. Jantuah, Oti Bonsu, Krobo Adusei and others.”
She concluded that CPP always become strong when Asanteman rally behind them.
“CPP always thrives following the unflinching support from Asanteman, and this is the time for Asanteman to revert to its root to help CPP to win political power in this year’s elections.”
Convention People’s Party is fourth on the ballot paper, and they are pushing to return to power again after so many years in opposition.
