Continue In Humility; Asantehene Counsels Enskinned Akate Farms CEO
The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has counseled the Chief Executive Officer of Akate Farms Trading Company, Alhaji Abdul Salam Bachewi Akate to stay meek following his enskinment.
He is now the paramount Chief of the Bawiesibai Traditional Area in Sissala East in the Upper West region and is now known as Kuoru Baluganie Sapara II.
He was enskinned on March 18.
Accompanied by some elders of his traditional area, Baluganie Sapara II briefed Otumfuo about his new role during his participation in the Akwasidae festival on Sunday, July 23, 2023.
Speaking at the event, he said, his mission to the Manhyia Palace was to thank His Majesty for his blessings ahead of his installation and sought counsel to guide his leadership.
“Before I was enskinned, I came to inform Otumfuo. He blessed and prayed for me. Over there, everything went smoothly. I got the opportunity today to come. I’m here for your blessings and guidance.”
His Majesty pointed to his down-to-earth nature and personality and counselled him to make it a principal tool in his administration.
“You have spent most parts of your life here (the Ashanti region). You have your business here. Just as you have been humble, continue in that way.”
