Buy FDA Approved Products This X-mas

Ahead of the Christmas and New Year festivities, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has encouraged the public to be wary of products they patronize on the market.

In a statement dated December 6, the Authority indicated that not all products are approved and registered and therefore the need to tread cautiously when purchasing stuff at the various markets in the country.

Consumers are thus to check for the registration status of products.

“The FDA encourages the public to patronize only FDA-registered products during the festive season.”

The Authority this year has flagged various products on the Ghanaian market and taken steps to remove them. Some of these were unregistered and found contaminated.

To check the registration status of products in the country, consumers may visit the FDA’s website or ProPer platform of the Authority.
