British High Commissioner Thanks Akufo-Addo For Half-Mast Order

The British High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E Harriet Thompson has shown appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for ordering all official flags in the country to fly at half-mast to mourn the late British monarch, Elisabeth II.

The UK envoy to Ghana tweeted a picture of the Ghana and UK flags flying at half-mast at her office to thank the president.

“The Union Flag at half mast as we mourn the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Warm thanks to His Excellency President Akufo-Addo for instructing the Ghanaian flag also to be lowered.”

While away on a working visit, President Akufo-Addo announced he had ordered the official flags of the country to be lowered in honour of the queen.

This will be in place for the next seven days.
