Black Stars Depart for Mali Today
The Black Stars of Ghana will leave Accra for Bamako today following their final training at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
Their departure is scheduled for this afternoon, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed in a statement.
After opening camp on May 30, the team underwent rigorous training for four days in Ghana.
All 26 players are in camp and will prepare for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali slated for June 6, 2024, upon their arrival in Bamako later today.
Their game on Thursday will be hosted at the Stade 26 Mars at 7 pm.
From Mali, Coach Otto Addo’s side will return to Ghana for a fixture against Central Africa Republic four days later.
The game will be hosted at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Monday, June 10, 2024.
The 26 players include Lawrence Ati Zigi, Joseph Wollacot, Fredrick Asare, Gideon Mensah, Ebenezer Annan, Mohammed Salisu, Jerome Opoku, Abdul Mumin, Alexander Djiku, Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Kudus, Ernest Nuamah, Salis Abdul Samed and Ibrahim Sulemana.
The rest are Thomas Partey, Edmund Addo, Elisha Owusu, Abu Francis, Osman Bukari, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Ibrahim Osman, Kamaaldeen Sulemana, and Brandon Thomas-Asante.
Ghana is looking forward to nothing short of victory.
