Black Sheriff Becomes First Ghanaian To Win A Golden Plaque From Boomplay

Ghanaian hiplife and hip-hop sensation, Ismail Mohammed Kwaku Frimpong has clinched a golden plaque from Boomplay with 100 million streams.

The young star from Konongo in Ashanti Region is now the first Ghanaian artiste to reach 100 million streams on Boomplay topping all-time Boomplay top ten charts.

“As a young kid from Konongo, who only had a dream and a voice, this brings me to the realisation that I can achieve any and everything so long as I believe and date myself to take action. Thank you for this one, Blacko Tribe,” Black Sheriff narrated.

Black Sheriff in his reaction to the award expressed his appreciation to boomplay for putting him on since he started till now.

The “Kwaku The Traveller” hitmaker has also been nominated for BET Hip Hop Awards’ Best International Flow becoming the second Ghanaian to be nominated in that category after Sarkodie.
