Avoid Over-speeding- Fire Service Warns Drivers

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has cautioned drivers to avoid speeding as the festive season unfolds.
In a statement, it encouraged strict adherence to road safety regulations.
“We admonish motorists to avoid overspeeding on curves and to strictly observe road safety regulations, especially during the festive season.”
This caution follows a Christmas Eve accident alleged to have been caused by a speeding Hyundai Getz taxi with registration number GW 7715-25 travelling from Twifo Mampong towards Twifo Praso.
According to a report by the GNFS, the taxi was speeding when it veered off the road and crashed into a tree, claiming four lives.
