Asunafo South NPP Deputy Secretary Defects to Bawumia Camp

The Deputy Constituency Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Asunafo South Constituency in the Ahafo region has defected from the camp of aspiring flagbearer Kennedy Agyapong.

While publicly stepping down from his position as Constituency Campaign Secretary for Ken, Eric Agyemang said he had now joined the camp of former Vice President Dr Mahamamudu Bawumia.

Officially announcing the news to his supporters in the Constituents, he said he had realised that things being spewed against Bawumia are falsehoods.

“I am the Constituency Campaign secretary for Kennedy Agyapong. I resign from that position today. The bible says you will see the truth and the truth shall set you free. I have realised all they said about Bawumia is lies.”

He has therefore decided to join his team.

“I stand here today to confess to the whole to my supporters in this constituency, whom I have.”

In addition, he retracted his campaign messages delivered in favour of Ken.

“I came to you in your homes after the campaign and delivered a campaign message right after the election. I retract all that I said.”
