Assaulted Kade SHTS Teacher Didn’t Report Incident to Us or His School- GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said that Michael Quayson, a teacher of Kade Senior High Technical School, who was assaulted by some past students, neither reported the incident to it nor his school.

It said it found out about the incident on social media following the circulation of a video.

That notwithstanding, the Service said it took over the issue, and investigations are currently ongoing.

It condemned the assault as such, unacceptable, unlawful, and a direct affront to the dignity of the teaching profession, vowing that the said students will face the appropriate sanctions.

Meanwhile, the GES assured all teachers of its full support in instilling discipline and ensuring examination integrity.

Incident
The teacher was ambushed on the way to his house on October 5, 2025.

The assault was reportedly carried out by aggrieved students over his strictness during the invigilation of the Christian Religious Studies WASSCE 2025 paper.
