Asanteman Mourns: Businessman Kwaku Oteng Stands With Asantehene in Time of Grief

Ghanaian business mogul Kwaku Oteng has expressed sympathies as the Asanteman mourns the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa.

He donated some money to the Manhyia Palace during a visit.

This was when the Asantehene sat in state to receive sympathisers on August 14, 2025, following the official announcement of the Queen’s passing earlier this week.

The solemn moment drew together royals, traditional authorities, groups, corporate institutions, individuals, as well as past and present government officials to mourn.

Among them were Dr Kwaku Oteng, businessman; Dr Kwame Addo Kufuor, former Minister for Defence; Hon Simon Osei Mensah, former Ashanti Regional Minister; Justice Mariam Agyeman Gyasi Jawhary, Court of Appeal Judge; as well as management of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Also present were officials from the Manhyia Police Division, The Saviour Church Ghana, Manhyia Prisons, Ashanti Regional Health Directorate, Royal Golf Club, St Cyprians Cathedral, Market Traders, Totoe Legal Service, Opemsuo Radio, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation (OOTIIF), Asantehene Land Secretariat, and Dr M.Y. Caesar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of M.Y. Caesar Company Limited.

The One-week observation for the Queen is scheduled for August 21, 2025.
