Asantehene Meets Ashanti Regional Executives of Ghana Journalists Association
The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has met the Ashanti Regional Executives of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).
A delegation led by the Regional Chairman, Kofi Adu Domfeh, introduced itself to the King at the Manhyia Palace on April 8, 2026, during the third Awukudae festival.
The Chairman introduced Nicholas Osei Owusu as the Vice Chairman, Beatrice Spio Garbrah as the Secretary and Luther King Kwame Adinkrah Jnr as a Veteran.
“I was elected last year alongside other executives, but couldn’t get the chance to come introduce ourselves due to the GJA Awards that the Manhyia Palace graciously hosted.”
The delegation capitalised on the moment to seek the blessings of His Majesty for a successful tenure.
They further expressed appreciation to the Monarch for intervening in the issue of their press centre to offer them a site.
“We lost our press centre site, but thanks to Otumfuo’s intervention, we were allocated a new one. We’re here to express our gratitude for his support and concern for our needs.”
