Asante Bediatuo’s Recovery On Track- Presidency

The Presidency has provided an update on the recuperation of Nana Asante Bediatuo, the Secretary to the President, who was taken ill during an official duty in New York last month.

A statement issued by the Director of Communication at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, confirmed reports about his ill health and noted that he is undergoing recovery.

“Following the conclusion of the meeting of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, in the United States of America, where he served as a key member of President Akufo-Addo’s delegation, Nana Bediatuo Asante stayed behind to conduct further government business. He then began to feel unwell, and was subsequently admitted to hospital.”

It continued, “He is currently in stable condition and responding well to treatment. According to the medical team, Nana Bediatuo Asante’s recovery is on track, and we remain hopeful for his swift return to full strength.”

The prayers of the public were also sought for him.

“We ask for continued prayers and support for him and his family during this difficult period. Further updates will be provided when necessary.”
