Asante Akim MP Has No Hand In Closure Of Salt FM
Mr Derrick Amoah, Personal Assistant to the Member Parliament (MP) for Asante Akim North, Hon Andy Appiah Kubi has said that the MP has no hand in the closure of Salt FM located in the constituency as it is being rumoured
He made the statement at a press conference in Asante Akim North.
He said Hon Andy Appiah Kubi has worked very hard over the years as MP and has lobbied for many development projects for the constituency.
“Hon Appiah Kubi has no problem with Salt FM, there is no qualm between him and Ohene Kwame Frimpong. Hon Kubi has the development of the constitution at heart, he has extended rural electrification, portable drinking water and more road constructions are ongoing. He is interested in taking steps to ensure that the people of Asante Akyem North gets their fair share of the national cake but not closing a radio station which is of no benefit to him,” he said.
Mr Amoah urged all NPP supporters in the constituency to rally behind the MP to help the party retain the seat and for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to win the Presidential election .
“We will continue to work with Salt FM, so it’s our prayer and that of Hon as well that Salt FM comes back again,” he emphasised.
He described the rumour on social media about the MP having hand in it as politically motivated and should therefore be disregarded.
