Air Transat to Commence Direct Flights From Toronto to Accra
Ghana and Canada are set to operate direct flights between their two capitals.
This was confirmed by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
It comes after Air Transat was given approval to commence direct flights by the GCAA and the Transport Ministry.
The flights will commence on June 17, 2025.
This will make Air Transat the first and only direct airline to offer direct connection between Canada and Ghana, operating two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Sundays.
“The addition of the Accra route further strengthens Air Transat’s Africa expansion strategy and enhances its diverse Summer 2026 offering, providing more convenient option for travellers visiting family, exploring new cultures or discovering emerging destinations.”
