Abofour-Dumesua Appeals for Support in Footbridge Construction

The Assembly member of Abofour-Dumesua Electoral Area in the Offinso South District, Hon. Amos Yaw-Foh, along with his committee members, is calling upon the government and stakeholders to provide assistance for the construction of a much-needed footbridge in their community.

In an interview with Opemsuo News Reporter, Kwame Adu Gyamfi Kumanin, the Assembly member, explained that they have taken the initiative to hire an excavator to address the issue of drainage in the area. However, they have encountered a significant challenge when it comes to constructing the footbridge due to financial constraints.

He expressed concern about the impact of the lack of a footbridge on the community, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall.

He stated, “This route is heavily utilized by everyone, including those accessing the health center and students going to school. However, when it rains, it becomes extremely difficult for them to cross the river.”

Given the pressing need for a footbridge, the Assembly member and his committee members are earnestly appealing to the government and individuals who are willing to lend their support.

They recognize that the successful construction of the footbridge would greatly alleviate the hardships faced by residents and enhance their overall safety and well-being.

Committee chairman, Dauda Abdulai for the electoral area also expressed his solidarity with the cause, emphasizing the burden they have shouldered as residents continually approach them seeking a solution.
