A/R: Nsuta Assembly Members Demand Urgent Repair of Collapsed Bridge (Video)

Assembly Members from the Aframso Kyekyebon Electoral Area in the Nsuta Kwamang Beposo District of the Ashanti Region are calling on government authorities to urgently rehabilitate the collapsed Aframso bridge, which has left hundreds of commuters stranded and caused severe traffic congestion in the area.

The local representatives described the situation as dire, revealing that two lives have already been lost due to the collapse.

They appealed to the government to treat the matter as a national security concern, emphasizing that the bridge serves as a vital link for transporting farm produce and accessing essential services such as schools and hospitals.

In response to the concerns, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nsuta Kwamang Beposo, Hon. Samuel Somuah, acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and confirmed that the cost of repairs is beyond the district’s financial capacity.

He disclosed that the assembly has appealed to the central government for intervention and has requested support from key agencies including the Ghana Water Company, the Ministry of Roads and Highways, and the Ministry of Works and Housing.
