Deputy Majority Leader Wards Off Questions About Adwoa Sarfo’s Demand
The Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has intentionally resisted questions about Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Sarah Adwoa Sarfo’s demand for his position.
According to the Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong, Adwoa Sarfo has demanded the position of Deputy Majority leader, a position she held during the seventh Parliament, in return for her presence in Parliament to help approve government business.
In a media interview, Afenyo-Markin, who now holds the position Adwoa Sarfo “eyes”, obviously refused to comment on the matter, with the excuse that he had not heard about it and he doesn’t have to be in the know of everything that happens.
“I don’t want to comment on it. I have not heard of it. I’m not supposed to hear everything. I don’t know about it. Let’s move to other matters”, the Effutu constituency MP said during the interview with a visibly unhappy countenance
The MP then subtly dragged the host- who was bent on having him speak on the Adwoa Sarfo brouhaha- away from the topic.
