Among The “Stolen” Items Was “His Last” ¢10 The Police Saw In His Pocket After Dying
The police have retrieved a ten cedi note, two mobile phones, and a pistol from the pocket of a suspected robber they shot to death on Monday, December 6 during a robbery attack at Tema in the Greater Accra Region.
“A search on the deceased led to the retrieval of one Samsung A12 mobile phone, Nokia keypad phone, GHC10, and one black 9mm pistol”
According to the police, ownership was claimed for all the retrieved phones by victims at the crime scene leaving just the money and the pistol.
His accomplice in the crime managed to bolt during a shootout that ensued at the crime scene with the Golf City Police Motorbike Patrol.
The police say the registration number of the motorbike with which the robbers hatched their business was covered with a black polythene bag.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Tema Hospital Morgue awaiting identification and autopsy.
Meanwhile, the other suspect is being hunted down.
