Non-Staff Names Appear On Teachers For Laptop List

“The attention of the management of Ghana Education Service has been drawn to the fact that some Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education in submitting the name of teachers for laptops have added names of persons who do not qualify” Ghana Education Service has said.
It noted that the ‘fraud’ is marked by names of non-teaching staff and retired or separated staff.
According to the Service, strange names and fake identity documents (IDs) were added to the list of teachers who qualified for the laptop.
The District Directors of Education are on this note directed to validate, update and re-send the list by the close of work on Tuesday 31st 2021.
It also emphasized that repetition of such conduct will call for punitive measures against the Directors of District Education.
