Former Grand Goal Poacher Eric Bekoe Wants Asante Kotoko To Sign Tried & Tested Players
Former opulent goal poacher, Eric Bekoe, says his former side Asante Kotoko SC should focus on signing players who are tried and tested if they want to compete in Africa.
The Porcupine Warriors will feature in next season’s CAF Champions League competition again following cancellation of 2019/20 season due to the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
Asante Kotoko has been very consistent in all the CAF inter-club competitions since 2017/18 season though yet to leapfrog their last extravagant journey which saw them in the group stage.
According to the 2017/08 Premier League top goalscorer, Eric Bekoe, Kotoko will need experienced legs to augment their squad if only Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will lift the embargo preventing the club from signing new players.
“Playing in Africa is a different game all together and teams need more experienced legs to augment their squad to flourish well,” said Bekoe on Opemsuo 104.7 FM evening sports, Pramaso.
“It is now unclear whether Otumfuo will take off the embargo for the Technical Team to poach some players, but if they would be allowed, they should consider getting the services of experienced players to help them in Africa”.
