President Mahama Swears in Six New Ministers

President John Dramani Mahama has sworn into office six out of his forty-two nominees.

They are Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister for Finance, Dr. Dominic Ayine, Attorney General and John Jinapor, the Minister for Energy and Green Transition.

The rest are Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister for Education, Eric Opoku, the Minister for Food and Agriculture, and Governs Kwame Agbodza, the Minister for Roads and Highways.

The ceremony was held at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

The president expressed much confidence in them in his remarks and charged them to drive development in their respective sectors through commitment.

“The roles you are assuming are critical to the progress of our nation. I have every confidence that your expertise and dedication will drive the transformative agenda we have promised Ghanaians.”

This follows the approval of all six by Parliament after they went through vetting by the Appointments Committee.

Their swearing-in marks the onset of their role which stands critical to the country.
