NPP to Launch Manifesto

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced plans to launch its manifesto for the 2024 General Elections this month.

A statement released by the Party on Sunday said the event will be held in Takoradi in the Western Region on August 18, 2024.

In the lead up to the event, the governing party has instituted a Committee to plan and execute a successful manifesto launch in that regard.

The Committee headed by Oboshie Sai-Coffie has Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Henry Nana Boakye, Fati Abubakar, Antoinette Sibo-Darko, Kate Gyamfua, Abena Asante, Ndede Siah, Dennis Miracle Aboagye, Anthony Abayifa Kabo and Alhaji Haruna Mohammed.

“The party congratulates the committee and expresses confidence in its ability to deliver on its mandate in the supreme interest of the New Patriotic Party,” it added.

 

Manifesto Committee
In February 2024, the Party set up a committee to draft their manifesto.

The Committee was chaired by Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the Member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency and co-chaired by Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the MP for Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency.

Coordinators on the committee were, Prof. Kwaku Appiah Adu and Dr. Isaac Owusu Mensah.

The sub-committee chairpersons included Dr. Assibey Yeboah (Economy), Tony Oteng Gyasi (Trade and Industry), Kwakwo Nsafoah Poku (Energy and Petroleum), William Oppong-Bio (Agriculture), Dr. Augustine Blay (Communication and Digitalization), Dr. Gideon Boako (Lands, Minerals, and Natural Resources), Dr. Emmanuel Marfo (Science, Technology, Innovation, and Environment) and Maxwell Opoku Agyeman (Legal and Governance).

The rest were Justina Marigold (Local Government), Ing. Kwabena Agyapong (Housing and Infrastructure), Hassan Tampuli (Transport), Edward Asomani (Security), Michael Ocquaye Jnr (Foreign Affairs), Asamoah Gyan (Youth and Sports), Juliet Asante (Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts), Ama Serwaa (Gender), Kofi Dzamesi (Chieftaincy, Religious Affairs, and Civil Society), Dr. Ayew Afriyie (Health) and Dr. Prince Hamid Armah (Education).
